Saw this for the test server. Logged on, tested out some of the weapons and took a few screenshots.

  • 3 new empire specific pistols with a secondary "empty the whole clip" firing mode
  • The Scorpion - brand new range controlled detonation weapon - set your range and let um have it
  • The Dragon - flamethrower!
  • Plasma damage balance pass
  • Range Magnifier implant issue fix
  • Everyone will be given a free full certification wipe (optional at the certification terminal)
  • Striker idle beep tone volume toned way down
  • New certifications and new merits for the new weapons!

NC handgun is rediculously overpowered. can instagib rexos on secondary mode if it lands every shot. that's gotta be nerfed.

I couldn't tell much of a difference between the NC and TR's but The VS projectile is completely different. Im not sure how much damage each gun delivers on either mode, but Im pretty sure its balanced (from what I could tell).

Yes using the 2nd fire mode is very devasting (and can instakill), but you have to be a 2 year vet to use it and it takes up 100% of your Stamina. So its a pretty big trade off.

i dont think a Ranged Instakill is balance no matter what the cost... i mean, thanks to Client side hit detection, the guy will be dead before the first shot hits him on his screen.  even if your stamina is drained... the guy is dead, unless theres a second guy, then you just reload and shoot him befor he can get withing 20M 
 
 
one of these pistols in the hands of a cloaker is going to be hell...

I'm not so pumped about the flamethrower either... looks like it will be the new plasma with that aoe shit...

Oh, and I agree about the pistol.  It's gonna be hell messing with cloakers that can instagib you...  It's like they have Jackhammers now :(.
