I've been thinking about picking up Half-Life 2 lately, and I see people are selling cd-keys on ebay for around $20. They say all you need is this cd-key to play, but I don't really see how without the cd's or any actual software. Anyone know if this cd-key only stuff is legit, and if so how do I actually get Half-Life 2? Second... anyone have a CD-KEY I can use for free? |

THey are probbaly selling STEAM account keys, which is how I got my Half LIfe 2 when it was released. I would personally buy the Silver package through Steam, Preach, so that way when Day of Defeat comes out... you'll get that too. |

You can find HL2 in retail for $29... $10 is worth not dealing with the hassle, imho. |

Sol... I'm in Korea. My options are very limited as to where I can find the game "retail". Any online store wants too much money to ship to an APO address, even though it is a US postal address. ------------- |

I had to go through the steam way considering when I purchased my 9800xt I got a willie wonka golden ticket stating I got HL2 free when the game comes out! I had that ticket for over a year before they finally released it! lolz ------------- Ball punching for Teh Win!

I don't even want to get involved in that whole Lineage 2 deal. World of Warcraft, Lineage 2, and Starcraft are like national sports here in Korea. They just can't get enough of it. ------------- |

Basically all you need to do is dl steam and get a cd key for the game. i have a key if you would like it pm me.

Yea MasterChief that sounds good. I tried HL2 before, but kept having
sound problems with it. The voices would cut out sometimes, and when it
did work I had to turn away from the person to hear them. If I was
facing the person talking then the sound would cut out.
